This position is responsible for the professional administrative work in planning, organizing and directing the activities of the Senior Resources Centers, RSVP Program, and Senior Companion program. The Executive Director position will require extensive knowledge of county, state and federal senior service and social service structures, policies and procedures.
While operating under the guidance of the County Administrator, the Executive Director will lead the Senior Resources Triad in a manner that supports and guides the department’s goals as defined by the County Administrator and **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***.. This candidate will develop resources sufficient to the health of the department through partnerships and grant programs.
The Executive Director will oversee all program directors from the seven (7) senior centers, RSVP Director, and Senior Companion Director. Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration, Social Work, Sociology, Gerontology or Adult Education or a related field and five (5) years of experience working with the elderly in the public sector.
This position is a salaried position subject to 24-hour call, in case of a disaster event and/or a threat to public safety.
