Aon is looking for a Broker – Professional Services Practice As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions as part of our Professional Services Practice (PSP), based in New York, NY or Chicago, IL.  As a Broker (Vice President & Director), you will report directly to the Chief Broking Officer of PSP.PSP is Aon’s dedicated specialty practice providing brokerage and advisory services, claims advocacy and loss prevention to law, accounting, consulting and design firms.  PSP places professional liability, employment practices liability, management liability, cyber liability and general property & casualty insurance for its professional services firm clients.  This team is comprised of over 200 colleagues worldwide. Your impact as a BrokerJob Responsibilities:Utilize effective underwriter relationships to improve broking results via a deep understanding of marketplace, insurer appetite and capabilities to be able to leverage insurers effectively.Serves as a source for information concerning market trends including pricing and underwriting issues as they emerge in the marketplace.Works closely with Account Executives and other client service team members to understand and deliver on client needs.Participates in development implementation of department policies, procedures and best practices.Responsible for assessing client needs, designing solutions and negotiating with existing insurers and potential new insurer in the markets we trade in.Effectively manage and utilize data to assist in providing our client service teams’ with accurate market pricing intelligence; in our negotiations with existing insurers; and in the development of new market entrants.Undertake various duties as assigned. You Bring Knowledge and Expertise Experience and Education:Bachelor’s degree10 plus years in brokering, underwriting, and / or other relevant professional or executive liability industry experience.Property & Casualty license required within 6 months of hire date.Qualifications:Ability to build relationships.Strong written and verbal communications skills.Ability to solve problems and think independently.Proven analytical ability.Work well under pressure with a strong attention to detail.Strong experience utilizing Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook). We offer you A competitive total rewards package, continuing education & training, and tremendous potential with a growing worldwide organization.  Our Colleague Experience: From helping clients gain access to capital after natural disasters, to creating access to health care and retirement for millions, Aon colleagues empower results for our clients, communities, and each other every day.  They make a difference, work with the best, own their potential, and value one another.  This is the Aon Colleague Experience, defining what it means to work at Aon and realizing our vision of empowering human and economic possibility.
